Does US immigration take Canadian dollars at Canadian airports for the USD 50 fee? I would imagine not?
If not, is there a currency exchange place at YUL, between domestic arrivals and US immigration?

The last three times I got it, it was ALWAYS a must on USD.

I've paid for my TN with my VISA credit card.
Cheers
Pay with a Credit Card its the easiest way if you don't have USD cash on you.
And I've paid by cheque. If you don't have a US$-denominated chequing account, you can always write a CDN$ cheque in US$ (write "US" above "dollars" on the cheque). Some banks charge an additional fee when processing such a cheque.

(Funny thing was, 160 had to return to the gate this morning; apparently they could not start one of the engine in the cold. Arrived at YUL a bit over an hour late; but the connection was late too, so in the end, he had plenty of time to get the TN visa. It seems his paperwork was OK, even though he had to sign the job offer letter himself, as per instructions of the company lawyer, who barely managed to e-mail it to him yesterday, in the neck of time...)
For 4 years I'd been paying in cash. Then two years ago, when I was getting one with my $US 50 in hand, the woman actually said to me, "do you have a credit card? We'd prefer it to cash."
Thanks. As to my second question, I found that the answer is positive already. Plus, there is one that's open starting 5 am at YYC anyway.
