» What the hell did Capcom USA do to Onimusha 3?

Holy hell, I just played Onimusha 3. I like the game itself, but can I ask you why in the world did Capcom use the 'I'm hercules' voice for Jean Reno when he can speak PERFECTLY GOOD ENGLISH? I can understand Takeshi Kaneshiro to a degree, but why can't Capcom do something without totally boning up the attempt? Ugh. AntAmerican offices (Square-Enix USA, Capcom USA etc) ruin just about every Japan based game with the horrid dubs. It's no more of a surprise anymore but it makes you wanna pull out your hair.Seriously, even english dubs are horrible :(, i mean seriously look at Love Hina... kitsune totally sounds like a redneck.. what is that? all red necks are supposedt o bea drunkards? Not all rednecks are not drunkards. » I class is a scam by AC (part 2)

I checked the Elite benefit guide and upgrade certs to make sure that I have not been hallucinating lately but I was correct and it says quite clearly: Upgrade from Y,M at time of booking. I have just spent the last little while looking at AC34 and AC46 SYD-YYZ every day from Jan until June ... and I do mean every day..... and there are a total of 4 days where I class is available (and they occur within the same week) I would like to give the AC lurkers here an opportunity to respond to my accusation that AC is dishonest and underhanded in stating the benefits of the Elite program. Clearly, I cannot upgrade at time of booking even though there are LOTS of empty seats up front. Am I within my rights to make a complaint to C...... - 2008-11-18

» Re-vamped site advice

[Administrators note: this message was cross-posted in another forum and the duplicate has been removed] I am re-developing our company website and i was wondering, if we use a lot of pictures, will this slow down the load up time? Does this depend on the size of the picture files, resolution etc.? As for webcrawlers, if you have a lot of links within the main body of text, does this affect how they navigate the site? If there is a link early on in the page, will the crawler go through this link instead of crawling the rest of the page? Is it true that website crawlers navigate the title tags of your site pages first and only really get keyords from them and the copy high up on your pages? Also on keywords, does it matter what o...... - 2008-11-18

» "I'm so sorry to hear that" のかわりに

Something Elizabeth said in another thread (http://www.jref.com/forum/showpost.php?p=460491&postcount=24) reminded me of another question that I wanted to ask here. I suppose this might be more of a cultural question than a 日本語 one, though. A few weeks ago, a Japanese acquaintance of mine (an older guy) said that his brother had died. I was totally lost for an appropriate response. ("すみません? ごめんなさい? No good, just inappropriate literal translations. さぞ大変なことでしょう? Argh!") What is appropriate to say in such a situation?I believe the proper 決まり文句 for when someone passes away is ご愁傷様です (ごしゅうӕ...... - 2008-11-18

» 5/31/05 FCST: S. High Plains

The 12z ETA is forecasting an interesting weather situation for Tuesday. At the upper levels, a relatively strong (35-45 kts at 500 mb) shortwave trough is forecast to enter the southern High Plains by Tuesday evening. As a result, a lee trough is developed by the ETA in E. NM which induces southerly low-level flow across the Plains. This in turn is forecast to draw very rich moisture (Tds >65 F) northward and northwestward toward the western Texas panhandle. As a result of the moisture transport (Tds in Lubbock may be >65 F, which would be incredible considering the elevation) and good lapse rates, strong instability is forecast to develop over west Texas (on the order of 3000 j/kg of CAPE). Surface winds are forecast to be ...... - 2008-11-18

» on topic for AP (OT for Air Canada) points for booking on Thai Airways?

Hi All, I am going to book a flight from BKK to Krabi return, the only StarAlliance airline on the route is Thai Airways. for the extra 3000 Bhat it will be a lot more comfortable than flying one of the low costs like 1-2-go Air or Nok Air. My question is that when I book online is there a place where I can AirCanada Aeroplan Number and get AP miles for this flight? Are they regular miles or will I get status miles? Any help would be great JWYes, they will take your Aeroplan number. You will get Status and redemable miles. Often in Thailand, I take the discount carriers. » Why Don't they want my Money?

Hi all. I've been lurking around here for a while - and finally have something that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere. I booked a flight for next week on AC going from CHC-YYZ (AC34/33 from SYD-YYZ, QF/NZ from CHC-SYD). The flights were booked online through an agent and my CC was charged at the time of booking. It took a little while for the agent to send me my tickets (paper). The tickets list my credit card details under the payment section. However... for some reason a few days after I booked my tickets the money that was taken out of my account to pay for the tickets was put back. I called the agent and they say that the airline will be the one to take the payment out of my account. I have the paper tickets with me...... - 2008-11-18

» Dizziness after smoking? ?

I am 19 and a few weeks back me and my friends smoked and I didn't get much out of it; I never inhaled, just kind of got it in my mouth and let it out. I smoked once every couple days and still never inhaled. However, in the last couple of days, I began enhaling. Yesterday, I got a little dizzy. Tonight, however, I inhaled every puff, and I got so dizzy I could hardly walk. It felt horrible; I did it outside and had to hold onto something to keep from falling. When I got inside I could walk, but I felt nautious like I was gonna puke. I got a drink of pop (diet) and that helped a bit, but I still felt a little pukey. I'm OK now. » Random frame rate drops.

Hello I am using the latest version of ARToolkit (2.7). All of the example programs run perfectly for a short period of time, then the frame rate drops to around 1fps. I have noticed that it's not just the image that slows, if I attempt to move the window it goes as slowly. After a random period of time (around 1 - 5 minutes) it will go back to running properly (until it slows down again). I am running WinXP on an AMD XP 1800, with a Logitech QuickCam Messenger and MS Visual C++ version 6 Service Pack 6. My normal video capture software works perfectly, the bug is isolated to the ARToolkit application. Previously I used an older version (2.65), and I never had this problem. » The diagnosis

I can't read the doc's writing, but the MRI results say I have a "lateral femoral condyle bone marrow edema." I think this basically means I bruised the bone, which was caused by the patella slipping out of place. The doctor explained that there is a muscle down the thigh attached to the patella and then there is a tendon attached to the patella that goes down the lower leg toward the outside (if that makes any sense). So the muscle and the tendon make an angle, and the tendency is for the patella to move toward the outside to straigten this angle. No surgery, but physical therapy twice a week for four weeks. » Trapped in an elevator with Booker

http://www.nj.com/newslogs/mayorsrace This is too funny! Trapped in an elevator with Booker 5:02 p.m. - Whenever he talks about troubles at his home, Brick Towers, candidate Cory Booker often mentions the lack of heat and hot water at the housing project. He forgot to mention the elevators. Today, during a ride up the to his 16th floor, the elevator got stuck -- on the second floor. Trapped inside the elevator was Booker, Jermaine James, spokeswoman Sakina Spruell-Cole, two aides, this reporter and Star-Ledger photographer Jennifer Brown. Booker continually pressed a number of buttons and the elevator budged upward. And then stopped again, this time around the 8th floor. More buttons were pressed and the doors slid open...... - 2008-11-18

» How to get list of child processes???

Is there any system call available to get the list of child process IDs, if we have the process ID as the input. I think through "ptree <PID>" command does the same thing. But I like to have this as some sort of syscall()...Is any stuff available like this?As a single syscall? Unlikely you'll find such a thing on any system... But, that's another thing: you don't mention what system you're using... Such a thing is likely to be very system-specific and non-portable... So, without knowing your target system, no one will really be able to help you... But, taking a wild stab in the dark and assuming Linux, you could do it fairly easily by simply reading through all "/proc/<pid>/status" files, looking at the "PPid" listed,...... - 2008-11-18

Tremendous Q-fare deal, as these flights normally run at least $200+ and often even higher into DCA. Plus, if you fly to IAD via DFW before 9/30, you qualify for the IAD bonus as well. ^ Extra bonus: No 757 slave ships on this route. :) I recommend using ORBITZ "flexible search" as I could only find limited selection at aa.com (and orbitz offered this fare on almost every possible flight combination. I am posting separately from the SMF link because I think this will be of greater interest to most. I'm familiar with Travelocity's Dream Maps, but I would like to be able to set up an "automatic" search for "every" European city from multiple US cities LIMITED TO A CERTAIN TIME PERIOD and a certain maximum price. Specifically, I want to find an easy way to catch any summer transatlantic sales (say June through August), including those to secondary cities I might not ordinarily think of, without having to deal with all the "noise" of off-season pricing. Anyone know how to do this? I live at HNL and have been trying to figure a MR with some difficulty (is HNL a REALLY bad place for MR's???) First off, I get the feeling that international MR's rarely come out as a bargain, but from HNL are there some bargains to be had since it is in a different part of the world as the rest of the mainland? You can get orbitz HNL-East coast fares (10,000 miles) for $600. I have been trying some variations off of that mostly playing with LAX-SFO-ORD-PHL-JFK type options, but things always get ugly. » Thought about TWA to the Caribbean

We all know that TWA is trying to focus on the Caribbean. They started extensive service to San Juan a few months back, and now they announced they were abandoning the Iberia region and Rome, and relocated themselves to the Caribbean. A few years back, TWA decided to become an airline for the business traveler and they put tons of First Class seats on their planes and they are trying to make upgrades easier for their privledge card holders. Now that they are focusing on the Caribbean, they are sending planes with lots of First Class seats (I think 24 on a MD80!) on these low-yield routes. I bet that there is not one First Class fare paying, or even a Y fare. First Class is probably pretty empty, with maybe a few elites on vacation who ...... - 2008-11-18

Hey all, I'm going to be flying YUL-KIX, and I'm booked in V class, which I plan to upgrade using a SSWU. I have an extra SWU sitting around that I plan to upgrade someone if they msg me before my flight (it's in FlightConnect if anyone's flying that route in May) and who's flying the same itinerary. Suppose the person has a different class (but one that is eligible for a SWU upgrade, for instance, H), I'm allowed to upgrade them even though their fare class is different from mine (more expensive fare, in this case) / the cert I'm using for them is different from mine, right? » MVP Question: Delta codeshare

Hello all, I have a question about MVP qualification. This is going to influence whether I pay a bit more to fly to Portugal on Delta instead of Continental. It is quite clear that miles from Delta flights are used for MVP qualification (albeit at the 25,000 mile qualification level). What if a flight is operated by Air France but is a Delta codeshare, bought through Delta.com, with a Delta flight number? Do the miles on the Air France flight count toward MVP qualification? A 14,000 mile round trip will put me very close to MVP qualification and I don't mind paying a bit more to achieve this. Thanks!Usually "the metal matters." Can someone explain the configuration on the 777 flight 90 from Chicago to London. Coach appears to have a section of 5 rows directly behind Business and with a Division before the main cabin. This is how it appears on the seat map in AA.com. Thanks in advanceIt was the same mid-March of this year when I took AA 90 from ORD to LHR. The current timetable shows this as the "International/Pacific" configuration while the "Transatlantic/International" variant is quite different. That configuration is how it was last week on the LHR-ORD run. There is no good translation for this word respect. BTW, I know all the translation for respect and I don't need a "直訳" chokuyaku or literal translation.:relief:This isn't a language problem. » Best Airline and FF Program

My company is going to be sending on a lot of business travel this year and I don't have status with any airline. So my question is which airline do you think is the best? I'm flying out of Logan which really isn't a hub for anyone so I'm wide open as to which airline I fly. Most of my flights will be domestic but not to one particular place. I liked American when I flew them and I hated USAir when I flew them (and this was before the Christmas fiasco). So please leave comments but I'll look at numbers to decide because most people have strong feelings for one program but I want the one the most people like. So please follow the link below and vote in a poll I set up (no registration or anything like that is necessary). Thanks for your help...... - 2008-11-18

Help, I知 a creature of habit. Always in the past we致e parked either at Shuttle Park or its sister company AirStar, as we found the location most convenient for us with the internet coupons they usually had, their price was competitive and they had frequent shuttle service. Unfortunately, both lots closed April 30 as the site is being turned into the new SeaTac rental car facility. Our preferred route to the airport is south on I-405, continuing on and then exiting at the Highway 99 South exit. Got XBMC Bling (November 2006) up and running fine. However, the Xbox and PC don't seem to be talking to each other. Using SMB share or the SMB Workgroup buttons results in "cannot connect to server" messages. I executed the drop down 'share this file' checks from the Properties windows on the folders I want to share. No luck. I tried re-setting the router, tried reconfiguring the workgroup, turned off the windows firewall -- no luck. I'm wanting laser surgery to hopefully remove the rest of it quickly. I just turned the video camera around in time to catch part of a sheet metal roof on some apartment complexes across the street being blown off. The link is below. No one hurt, but there was some damage either by the debris or the small dime to nickle sized hail. The debris bust one vehicle's side window. http://www.vastormphoto.com/MyVideos/29june2006stormweb.wmv Jesse V. Bass III http://www.vastormphoto.com Hu...... - 2008-11-18

» BOS-LHR $198RT From Apr 4 to May 31

United is offering $99 OW fare from BOS to LHR to celebrate its news service between two cities. The fare code is WLXUA98. The restrictions are; travels between Mon-Thur, 7 days advance purchase, and non-refundable. In addition, UA is offering double miles. When I checked, only Travelocity/Sabre had the fare loaded. All reservation systems should have this fare by end of the day. So far, LH matched the fare. My guess is that all other airines will match. This is a cheap way to rake up miles and visit Europe!!! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Now I have check my vacation balance...A FlyerTalk convention in London?!? See discussion under UA thread. Also, through 5/31, United is offering a 5,000 mile bonus for a round-trip coach ...... - 2008-11-18

» How can I know if a tree has finished loading?

I am building a tree. After the tree is initially created I execute the expandAll() method on it to populate. I do this because the tree is dynamic in nature and so I can't just load a static set of data ... Anyway, once the tree is loaded a user can manipulate the contents and then send their work of art to be further processed. Trouble is I need to disable the submit button until the tree is completely populated, otherwise if I get a click happy user the end result makes them (and me from complaints) very unhappy. Is there anyway I can determine when the last load is completed?there is a 'load' event on the treeloader. setup a listener for that. load : ( Object This, Object node, Object response ) Fires when the node has been succ...... - 2008-11-18
